QUIPS & QUOTES

What are you going to do to break loose from the birdcage? We’ve all been ‘caged’ up for the better part of the last few months. As the stay-at-home order is lifted across the state, what are you most looking forward to doing outside the house? We asked, you answered:

Top 10 Lists I created ‘top ten’ lists in a few categories (family, food, & fresh air) to make sure I don’t miss anything this summer! We want to host a family BBQ and bonfire, visit Smack Shack for their delicious Sunday brunch, and take a trip to our cabin in the Brainerd Lakes area, to name a few.

North Shore It will be different this year, but I can’t wait for the annual family trip up to the North Shore. Fishing and shopping should be possible, but we’ll have to see about camping and swimming.

Tee Time My wife and I have done our very best to stay home, practice social distancing, and just control what we can. On occasion, we have video chats with everyone to see their faces and catch up. To be able to break loose and meet my Dad out on the course for 9 holes,

Trips on Trips I can’t wait to travel somewhere…almost anywhere. A short-term camping trip, a long-term camping trip to the mountains, an Alaskan cruise, a trip to Yosemite and of course spring break with the family – I need to make up for lost time. I would also love to get back to Germany, Switzerland, and I would say Italy – but maybe I

Viva Las Vegas I have friends in different cities that I of course haven’t seen for a while. We’ve all talked about taking trips to visit one another or going somewhere to celebrate my birthday. For now, we are holding off on making concrete plans until we have a better view of what life looks like in a few months. By concrete plans... we mean Las Vegas!

Outdoor Activities I’m looking forward to getting out on the golf course, enjoying outdoor activities with my family (there’s only so much you can do to fight boredom indoors), and engaging with my work team in-person again!

hold off there a bit longer. I had three trips that were canceled during this ‘birdcage captivity’. I need to spread my wings!
