What local businesses are you happy to support? One year later, restaurants and retailers impacted by the pandemic still need our support. We asked which local businesses you frequently patronize.
I have made a pointed effort to support independent restaurants and breweries in the downtown Minneapolis area, particularly Zen Box Izakaya and Modist Brewing.
Many places need our support! My favorites: Bellecour Bakery, Cooks of Crocus Hill, La Grolla, The Element Hotel in downtown Minneapolis, Larsmont Cottages - North Shore, and La Boulangerie Marguerite, to name a few.
Over the past year, it has been important for me to support small, local businesses. In particular, I am happy to frequent Spoon and Stable,
a restaurant in the North Loop neighborhood of Minneapolis.

We have always been happy to support locally owned retailers, like Bean & Ro and Lakewinds Food Co-op and family-owned restaurants, like Wok in the Park, but we have made a conscious effort to increase our frequency since the beginning of the pandemic.
I’m very excited to get back inside my favorite SW Minneapolis restaurants. Mexican? Let’s visit Tinto Kitchen. Prefer Argentinian? I’ll meet you at Martina! Time for a great burger? Red Cow is the place.
My family is a loyal customer of Moroccan Flavors, a restaurant located in Midtown Global Market! Hassan and Samlali are always willing to share techniques they use to prepare tagine, and I admire their resilience throughout the pandemic and social unrest that impacted their business.

I love supporting small companies. BLVD Kitchen & Bar in Minnetonka has great food and service. In Maple Grove, Malone’s Bar & Grill is a local favorite with an upbeat environment, and Omni Brewing Co. has an outdoor patio where we like to take our ‘pandemic puppy.’
We’re so lucky with the Twin Cities food scene! This past year we’ve supported Broders’ Cucina, Pig Ate My Pizza, Boludo, Revival, Quang Restaurant, Red Wagon Pizza, Station Pizzeria, Borough, and Town Hall Station.
We love sitting on the patio at the Fulton Taproom. Hopefully, this year we will have many chances to go to the Taproom and catch a Twins game!
